GlobalDB is Michelin's internal tool that allows you to download the latest data documents and upload your dealer lists.

Access request

Raise a JIRA ticket. In your request access, please indicate:

  • first name and last name

  • complete email address

  • the locales (countries) for which you are responsible

  • the brands concerned

1. Update data, Upload new file

Upload new file

The Upload new file menu will allow you to upload your dealers lists.

5 steps:

  1. Select locale

  2. Choose your file

  3. Process your file

  4. Plan your import

  5. Import details

Select locale

§ Select the Brand

§ Select the Locale

§ Select the Product line

§ Click the pipeline (blue line)

§ Click NEXT STEP

2 - Choose your file

§ Click Drop your file here or drag and drop the file

If it is not the right file, click the recycle bin and start again

§ Click NEXT STEP

If you got an error message at this step, it means that your file is not compliant with what we are expecting. ð You'll need to correct the file and upload it again. It won't go through and be pushed if not corrected.

3 - Process your file

§ Let the process work until you get the green SUCCESS button, that means your file has been integrated

If an ERROR message appears, please create a JIRA ticket, LIVE OPERATIONS will help you understand and correct the error.

The person who carried out the import will receive an email informing them that the import has failed (feature available in June 2022).

5 - Plan your import

  • Click Now if you wish to import data now

or

  • Click Later and specify the date you wish to import the data.

  • When asked for confirmation, click YES

6 - Import details

§ The current job is running

§ Let the process work until you get the green SUCCESS button, that means your data has been imported

Your dealer's list is now updated and available on your website.

If an ERROR message appears, please create a JIRA ticket, LIVE OPERATIONS will help you understand and correct the error.

The person who carried out the import will receive an email informing them that the import has failed (feature available in June 2022).

Download latest files

This menu will allow you to download the latest files already in the systems.

These files could be:

  • Dealers’ lists,

  • Products templates

  • Commercial catalogs

How to proceed:

  1. Select the Brand

  2. Select the Locale

  3. Select the Product line

  4. Select the Data kind

  5. Click the pipeline (blue line)

  6. Select the file you need (If you select multiple files, it will generate a .zip file)

  7. Click Export

Once the file(s) are downloaded, they are independent of Global DB, so you can:

  • modify them,

  • rename them,

  • delete them,

  • move them,
