Business Rules
OE markings
OE markings rules are divided into two sections:
can tyres without markings be mounted on a vehicle that have specific OE markings.
can specific marked tyres be mounted on other vehicles than the OE of this tyre.
Each section has its own rules depending on a marking. All the details can be found in the following document:
Car type exclusions - Car, 4x4, SUV, Van
As not every tyre can be mounted on every type of vehicle, TSU is taking into accounts car type in order to exclude certain tyres.
For example you cannot mount Van tyres as Agilis Plus on a passenger car like Audi A5.

Seasons
Seasons are used in two ways:
exclusion/inclusion when searching tyres - when searching by vehicle or by size, we can narrow our research by choosing season we're interested in. That way, TSU will exclude all the tyres we're not interested in.
when recommending tyres - TSU recommendation algorithme is based on many rules, one of them are seasons, for example in summer, TSU will first recommend summer tyres. Each country can define its one seasons start and end date.
Sort order
As mentioned in the Reference documents section, the sort order gives the possibility to order tyres in the Tyre Selector Result Page as wanted.
We have three types of sort order:
general sort order,
seasonal sort order,
usage sort order (only MO).
Low visibility
Tyres with low visibility can be find only in search by size/by vehicle – they are not displayed in categories
